A sensory garden for children with autism for the Harmony community hall: help our neighbors in Tema
Volunteers in Tema are raising $650 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Harmony community hall.
🇬🇭 GT-461-6584, Tema, Greater Accra, Ghana619 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 586 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $480
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $95
Thank you for reading my story.

You're not alone, Felix. Shared this with my family. We're a small family in Berlin but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Berlin.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 20 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Dwarka
