A sensory garden for children with autism for Harmony Park: help our neighbors in Bogor
Volunteers in Bogor are raising $600 for a sensory garden for children with autism at Harmony Park.
Anywhere in the world1,551 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 552 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $600 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Materials: $505
