A repair café workshop for the Liberty vacant lot: help our neighbors in Gwangju
Volunteers in Gwangju are raising $2,500 for a repair café workshop at the Liberty vacant lot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,500.
It will serve about 388 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Materials: $1,750
• Permits and inspections: $230
• Safety equipment and signage: $240
• Tools hire and delivery: $280
With deep gratitude,
Hyun-woo

Hope you get there. We're a small family in Kyiv but we're thinking of you. Take care.
Hope things get better soon, Hyun-woo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Parramatta this morning. God bless.
