A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Wrocław
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $400 for materials.
🇵🇱 Poland1,529 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 229 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $155
• Tools hire and delivery: $170
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
I hope life is good to you.
