For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,600. It will serve about 530 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,600 goes: • Materials: $1,550 • Permits and inspections: $310 • Safety equipment and signage: $480 • Tools hire and delivery: $260 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • hope it all works out, Ezekiel. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from Obuasi.

    • Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Likoni but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Likoni

      • sending strength, Ezekiel. I hope things turn around soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
