A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Rohini
Volunteers in Rohini are raising $350 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Jacaranda health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 446 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $150
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $70
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
