Hyderabad
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 112 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $350 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $55 • Materials: $270 • Safety equipment and signage: $25 I hope life is good to you. - Sumbal
