A pair of hearing aids for Óscar: help me move freely
Óscar needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,200.

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Medellín Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,200.
My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $75
• First-year servicing plan: $105
• pair of hearing aids: $2,020
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
