A fresh start in Victoria: help the Yusuf family resettle
The Yusuf family are rebuilding in Victoria after leaving Afghanistan; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Afghanistan 12 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Victoria. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in September.
I was an electrician in Afghanistan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by a local church-run settlement group, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,050
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $540
• Language classes and bus passes: $360
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you and your family. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Istanbul.
best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
