A fresh start in Rajshahi: help the Yusuf family resettle

After fleeing Ethiopia, the Yusuf family has arrived in Rajshahi with little more than their documents. They need help with a deposit, furniture and the first months.

Rajshahi
My family left Ethiopia 11 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Rajshahi. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in October. I was a teacher in Ethiopia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $250 goes: • Beds, table and basic furniture: $105 • Phone and internet for school and job search: $30 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $115 If you're reading this, thank you.

      • Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Khon Kaen so I could bring a meal.

        • Best of luck. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry
