A fresh start in London: help the Sahin family resettle
Help a family of 3 start their new life in London: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Somalia 6 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in London. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in May.
I was an electrician in Somalia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,200
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $480
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $155
• Language classes and bus passes: $515
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
Updates from Luca

reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Love from Peoria.
Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Embakasi so I could bring a meal. Thinking of London.
wishing you the best, Luca. Hope this works out for you
Sending strength, Luca. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Take care.
Looking forward to the next update. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Bergamo.
