A fresh start in Leeds: help the Okonkwo family resettle
The Okonkwo family are rebuilding in Leeds after leaving Yemen; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Yemen 5 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Leeds. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in December.
I was a farmer in Yemen, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $4,050 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,950
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,000
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $540
• Language classes and bus passes: $410
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $150
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

thanks for sharing this. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Jodhpur this morning!
Sending good thoughts, Jaxon. Looking forward to the next update.
hang in there, Jaxon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
