A fresh start in Faisalabad: help the Abdi family resettle
Help a family of 3 start their new life in Faisalabad: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Iraq 14 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Faisalabad. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was a nurse in Iraq, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $240
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $15
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $85
• Language classes and bus passes: $110
If you're reading this, thank you.

good luck, Anum. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Lagos.
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Anum?
Thank you. If you're in Faisalabad I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Best of luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
thinking of you and your family, Anum. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Faisalabad.

You're not alone, Anum. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update. Greetings from Kaduna
