Help a family of 4 start their new life in Boulogne-Billancourt: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Ethiopia 5 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Boulogne-Billancourt. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in March.
I was a farmer in Ethiopia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Boulogne-Billancourt Welcome Table charity, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $2,600 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $250
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $790
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,560
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Boulogne-Billancourt.
Thinking of you and your family, Laura. Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Mansoura but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Boulogne-Billancourt.
You're not alone, Laura. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless.
