My family left Somalia 9 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Augsburg. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in February.
I was a nurse in Somalia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $200
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $300
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,150
• Rent deposit and first month: $2,000
Thanks for being kind about this.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Augsburg!
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about phone and internet for school and job search, advice is welcome too. Thanks, that means a lot.
I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Maximilian.
sending love, Maximilian. Shared it with a few friends. Blessings
Keep going, Maximilian. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope February is when things finally get easier
