A fresh start in Auckland: help the Bakr family resettle
Help a family of 4 start their new life in Auckland: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Yemen 14 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Auckland. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a farmer in Yemen, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $230
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $580
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,200
• Language classes and bus passes: $440
With deep gratitude,
Quinn
