A covered market stall space for the old Baobab bus depot: help our neighbors in Buffalo
A community-led a covered market stall space at the old Baobab bus depot that will serve 121 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,600.
It will serve about 121 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Materials: $2,600
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $175
• Tools hire and delivery: $535
