A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Vitória da Conquista
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $800 for materials.
Anywhere in the world257 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 92 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $800 goes:
• Materials: $620
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $120
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Greetings from Kano.
hope it all works out. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
Take care, Luís. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Vitória da Conquista.
