A community garden for Union Park: help our neighbors in Marrakesh
Volunteers in Marrakesh are raising $500 for a community garden at Union Park.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 338 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $370
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
