A community garden for the Union health centre yard: help our neighbors in Gazipur

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $405. It will serve about 272 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $405 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $40 • Materials: $360 • Permits and inspections: $5 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
