A community garden for the old Union bus depot: help our neighbors in Naivasha
A community-led a community garden at the old Union bus depot that will serve 569 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 569 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $700 goes:
• Materials: $570
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
