A community garden for the Harmony health centre yard: help our neighbors in Envigado

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $900. It will serve about 492 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $900 goes: • Materials: $570 • Permits and inspections: $70 • Safety equipment and signage: $105 • Tools hire and delivery: $155 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Elena
