A community garden for Liberty Park: help our neighbors in Badagry
A community-led a community garden at Liberty Park that will serve 219 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $95, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 219 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Materials: $185
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $10
