A community fridge for the old Union bus depot: help our neighbors in Bonny
Volunteers in Bonny are raising $600 for a community fridge at the old Union bus depot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Union bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 531 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $600 goes:
• Materials: $430
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $70
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
